Eclipse (H) is the holographic version of our mystifying midnight black Ultra Chrome®.
Jaw-droppingly unique and intense, Eclipse (H) magically color shifts from a striking midnight black to a radiating fiery red! Depending on the angle of your fingertips, you may also notice shades of glowing orange, beaming gold, and even hints of teal. Adding to the intensity, holographic micro-flakes stand out against the rich black base for a beaming sparkle!
Eclipse (H) is part of ILNP’s Ultra Chrome® class of chromatic nail polishes; formulated to apply directly to the nail without the need for a base color.

The holo makes it a bit too much
Amazing!
Everything about this color and holo is perfect!
Realized that black nail polish isn't my preference
I bought this polish as it is a fan favorite in the nail polish community in Reddit. I am happy that at this price point that I can get beautiful multichrome polishes such as Eclipse (H).
However, upon wearing it, I can't help but feel underwhelmed due to the following:
-The black is quite sheer. Even with 3 coats of Eclipse, it doesn't look jet black. I'll try putting Eclipse on top of black nail polish to see if it'll get better.
-The shift isn't very dramatic indoors. It looks like your ordinary black nail polish with glitters (Pic 2) and I appreciated the multichrome effect more when I am outdoors (See pic 1). The shift looks *very* subtle in indoor indirect light.
Overall, I believe this is a beautiful nail polish, and people who are into dark colors and black nail polish will enjoy this alot. I just realized that black/dark colors aren't not my cup of tea.
