Beautiful! Pulls more purple/gray for me
This was my first time using a magnetic polish and I thought this special finish added so much extra depth and sparkle! I used it with the wand from ILNP and tried to do the cat's eye finish; it didn't totally turn out, but that may be a skill issue on my end, and I was still happy with the results! I used 3 coats (which is what I usually do for ILNP polishes, as I like a more opaque finish) but I'm going to try 2 next time instead, as it got a bit cakey around the edges of my nail. Overall though, I love ILNP for how high-quality and unique their polishes are, and Velveteen was another great polish from them. The application was easy, and I am excited to try more of their magnetic polishes!
My only small complaint is that even though Velveteen is tagged as brown, it pulled a lot more gray/purple on me. I am pretty pale with pink/red undertones and have noticed that this is a theme for certain ILNP colors; I have a couple of nudes and pinks that look much more purple/gray on me than they do in the photos. I like purple and gray so it's never been a complaint before, but in this case, I wish I'd picked a different one of their browns I was eying. Not an issue with the polish, just something for others to be aware of :)
