Linear rainbow
This is a gorgeous linear holo polish - and absolutely stunning in the light.
perfect
literally exactly what I was looking for. a two coat classic holo. It's bold, and gorgeous even out of direct light. Neutral enough to wear to work, sparkly enough to wear out.
Super cool
This polish is like scifi laser roller disco! It looks glorious in sunlight and under LED or a stong focused light. It looks a lot better without a top coat, at least without the top coats I already own. They dull the effect a lot. It lasts a little longer with a top coat, but it's a tough formula and wears well on its own.
labelling confusion
So let me tell you a little story...... today I was planning a fun mix of scattered holo and linear holo skittle..... I used another brand linear holo, and grabbed my "MEGA S", thinking the 'S' meant Scattered... since when you buy "My Private Rainbow L + S", the L is for linear, and the S is for scattered. Because it has a mix of both. So, taking this labelling to the Mega series, it was clearly safe to assume Mega S is scattered holo, and Mega L is linear holo, and Mega, as they note is the original mega... [is inferior mega design, lol! IDK, there is no real explanation why this exists.]
!!!!! BUT WAIT !!!!!
I am here to tell you that if you think this is logic, like me, that the Private Rainbow L+S, translates its' L & S to mega, L, and Mega S; YOU WOULD ALSO BE WRONG.
WHY ILNP, WHY?
This seems so absolutely logical. But nope, it is not.
So my manicure today ended up a linear holo + linear holo.
Identical.
Same particle size.
How massively disappointed am I?
VERY.
I had to come back, scrutinize all the Mega listings to try and decipher what they are, and WHY they use a L and S (which is mystifyingly absent) - discovering, they are ALL listed as linear holo.
End of story. [side eyes ILNP]
ILNP, please straighten yourselves out and rename these in a more appropriate manner. This is too rude. I had to make myself some descriptive labels to add to my bottles, to try and keep them properly identified. This should not be a thing that needs to be done.
